How much is one bottle of Taboocha?
The prices might vary in different outlets but their retail price is around HK$40 per bottle.
How long does Taboocha last? Will it go bad?
You can keep them for up to 8 weeks in the fridge. Taboocha is raw (unpasteurized) so the fermentation continues, keeping them in the fridge will keep the fermentation to a minimal level, preserving the taste. Taboocha will not go bad even after the recommended 8 weeks but it might taste too vinegary for pleasant consumption.
How long can I keep it unrefrigerated for?
Taboocha won’t go bad unrefrigerated, but since it will continue to ferment in room temperature, the taste might change over time. We generally recommend you to put them in the fridge once you have access to one - but it is ok to leave them in room temperature for half a day.
How to return the bottles for recycling?
You can return the bottles back to most of our distributors. Just ask them!
How often should I drink Taboocha?
We recommend 1 bottle a day but everyone’s body is different - if you are new to the drink, try half a bottle first and see if your gut reacts well to it.
There are weird looking things in the kombucha - is it safe to consume?
Brown strands are yeast strands that are good for you! Sometimes you might find a clear slimy piece of SCOBY (Symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast) in your drink and they are safe to consume!
Is there alcohol in Taboocha?
Since kombucha is fermented, there is less than 0.5% alcohol content in the drink. Young children, pregnant women and alcohol intolerant individuals should take this into consideration.
Is there caffeine in Taboocha?
There is caffeine in our kombucha because they are made from Chinese tea. However the caffeine content is much lower than a normal cup of tea. You can also pick a green tea brew if you are concerned about consuming caffeine.
